Founded in 1987 by Prem & Purnima Rana, Intertours Nepal specialises in creating bespoke voyages to Nepal, Bhutan, Tibet and India. Since its very inception, the core values of Intertours has been the professionalism, innovation, adaptability and reliability as a travel organizer and business partner – values that remain central to the company to this day.
A pioneer in tourism, Intertours Nepal has achieved many industry firsts. Environmental cleanup efforts at Everest Base Camp in the 1990s, airlifting years of accumulated waste for proper disposal; the first company to take a group on 33-day trek around Manaslu(amongst the first trekkers to go over Larke La), around Annapurna, and into Mustang(on the very day that Lo Manthang first opened its doors to tourism). Intertours was also a pioneer in organising tours to Mt. Kailash, Namtso Lake & the Guge Kingdom in Tibet. In 2008, Intertours launched Nepal’s first premium Ayurveda center, Himalayan Nature Spa, at the Begnas Lake Resort in Pokhara. We have always been innovative and continue to explore new ideas and areas.
